Trainees

Trainees are warmly encouraged to join the NZSA, a member based organisation that promotes continuing medical education and research for anaesthetists and promotes the professional interests of anaesthetists. The NZSA is a registered charity and donations and fees are tax deductible.

The NZSA Executive Committee has a Trainee Representative who has full voting rights and is there to promote the interests of trainees. The Trainee Representative meets regularly with the ANZCA Trainee Committees and has frequent and close communications with the trainee arm of our sister organisation, the Australian Society of Anaesthetists.

Trainee members receive a heavily discounted membership rate, with all of the entitlements of full membership.  The AIC journal is particularly useful for those preparing for the ANZCA Final Examination, the conference discounts handy, and the available prizes both prestigious and generous.
