The NZSA champions the best interests of its members and the safe, optimal care of their patients. We are holding our annual not-to-be-missed forum ‘Behind the Scenes’ to update members on a range of issues impacting their everyday practice. A key focus will be competency, recertification and medical college accreditation – especially topical in light of the Medical Council of New Zealand’s proposed recertification changes for vocationally registered doctors. There will also be updates on assistants to the anaesthetist, neuromuscular blocking, ACC, our subspecialty networks and health IT.
