The 78th Australian Society of Anaesthetists National Scientific Congress will be held at the International Convention Centre, Sydney, Australia.

This years NSC will be the only national meeting for Anaesthetists in Australia for 2019, it is therefore anticipated that delegate numbers will exceed well over 1,000 Anaesthetists. The invited speakers are; Professor Iain Moppett (UK), A/Professor Glenn Woodworth (USA), Professor Colin Royse (AUS), A/Professor Lisbeth Evered (AUS), and Professor Pam Macintyre (AUS). The Kester Brown Lecture will be presented by A/Professor Allan Cyna (AUS) and the Pioneer Lecture will be presented by Professor Alan Merry (NZ).

Real World Anaesthesia Course, Melbourne, 28 October-1 November 2019

RWAC aims to prepare anaesthetists for work in low and middle income countries in a variety of humanitarian aid situations. The course consists of a series of interactive lectures, case based discussions, hands on practical equipment sessions and in-theatre teaching of drawover anaesthesia. The number of participants is limited to 18 to maximise interaction and hands-on learning.
